After eating clean for a week and a half and working out according to the Jamie Eason 12 Week Trainer I am feeling so much better.  I have a lot more energy (which is AMAZING after those workouts), go to bed between 9 and 11 pm, and wake up between 5 and 7 am daily!  This is huge for me due to my back injury and lack of sleep totally screwing up my sleeping schedule.   I started at 203.4 on April 19th, 2016 and today I am at 198.8.  I feel like I am back on track and actually fully rested now and am right where I want to be for my 2 week progress update.

I am on Phase 1 Week 2 Day 10 in her plan and today was…leg day!  I always hear about people complaining about leg day and how much it sucks.  Personally for me this is my favorite day hands down!

The one issue I do have is that after my back injury occurred, the nerve was pinched for years before I finally had surgery.  My middle toe all the way over to the baby toe have had this numb feeling which extends up the back of my calf and halfway up my thigh.  Over time my right calf has gotten significantly weaker (A LOT) and is now 1 inch smaller around then my left calf.

What sucks the most about this is shopping for boots!! I LOVE boots and I found a really cute pair on Zappos once, ordered them, got them in the mail (EEEK!) and tried them on.  NOOOOOO!!!!!!  It fit around my left one snug and the right one it was all hanging lose and looked so weird and well wrong.
There was no way I could wear them and had to send them back.

Now when I go shopping for boots I have to try them on my left leg first, if
they don’t fit then I put them back.  Although I still forget and sometimes try it on my right leg first and get excited when it fits and then I go to put it on my left leg and it won’t zip!  ARGGGGHHHHH!

But today on leg day I pushed my right calf muscles so hard!  I did the standing calf raises but with just my right calf and got through.  It was a little bit hard but I could feel the muscles having to work really hard.  Then I did seated calf raises with a 20 lb. dumbbell on my right knee and boy I struggled to get through my 3 sets of 12.  I almost didn’t finish the last three but one of my sweet girls came down, saw me struggling, and said, “Mommy you can finish this!  C’mon you have this!”  BAM!  Done….and the best part of it was when she gave me the biggest hug and told me how proud she was of me.
